Xigbar B Event Guide
We’re back for another week of Organization XIII medals! This time - Xigbar, the Freeshooter. This reversed-speed medal deals crazy single target damage. With 7306 base strength - over 200 more than Marluxia A - a 3.80 multiplier, two tiers of general defense down for his attack, and super effective against all attributes, he is hands down the best single target medal in the game. The downside? He costs six gauges to use. ;_; But if you’re sitting on some spare SP Gauge 2 skills, this is the guy on which to use them!
So let’s get down to the event. I really love this one! It’s not hard, but it’s still really fun. True to Xigbar’s elusive teleporting, you need to use portals to find your targets. In addition, there are a good deal of Armored Archers - a reference to his automatic crossbows - especially in Mission 7. The problem is, with the myriad of portals and different routes to take, writing up a guide just wouldn’t do the trick this time. So I made a video!
Missions 3, 5, 8, 10, 11, 12, and 13 give Xigbar medals. Mission 9 gives the hairstyle.
Search and Kill: 1, 5, 9, 13
Gauntlet: 2, 6, 10
Dodge: 3, 11
Any Portal: 4, 8, 12
Search and Kill are best explained in the video. They involve a system of trial and error going through different portals to find the target. The video shows one way of doing these missions, but I’ve already found other routes.
Gauntlets are one group, one room. When you kill it, you go through the portal and clear the next room. Continue like this until you reach the target.
Dodge simply means to dodge all enemies and portals until you get to the end of the room. Mission 3 is much more lenient than Mission 11 - in the video I actually mess up on M3 but it seems to work itself out. For M11, stay closer to the top portals than the bottom portals. Also, for M11, for the bottom part of the screen, you need to stay out of the darkness because there are portals in the darkness that send you back.
Any Portal missions give three pathways. All three portals take you to the next room, but each portal is guarded by a particular enemy. You’ll want to pick and choose which enemies to fight to progress. In particular, avoid Copter Fleets and Gigas Shadows when possible.
Mission 7 is unique in that it doesn’t fit into any of these categories. Just kill everything on your way to the target.
That’s it! You should have your guilted Xigbar B in no time! May the guilt rolls smile upon you! (On that note, it’s been a long time since a guilt event came up so you might want to wait a few weeks before guilting him!)

+Caution - applies debuffs
It looks like x3 and x9 are going to be the ones you want to skip this month. The Cheery Apes are sort of this month’s Gigas Shadows - lots and lots of health. If you had good luck last month with the Gigas Shadows you can take your chances on these guys, though! Yellow Copter Fleet is going to be just as bad as Blue’s was last month. There are no mix-attribute groups. The Coliseum after WoFF medals came out - who would have guessed! But this opens up a lot of versatility with keyblade and medal selection too. Lastly, the Pester Jester puts one of a few different debuffs on you at the start of your encounter. If you get one that really hinders your attacks, just reload the game.
Rewards:
Completing Tier 10 gives 2900 coins and each board costs 1100. The boards are very standard - nothing worth remarking on. The titles are “War-Torn” for the blue, and “Pinnacle” for the pink.
A new Bonus Board was added! This changes very little, except it - like the other one - starts with a Magic Mirror. One is 600 coins, the other is 900 coins. If you manage to get to Round 80 of Tier 11 this month - which is a little under the top 10k - you can actually buy both Magic Mirrors if you forgo the EXP medals! I advise doing this - MM are limited and EXP medals are not.
This month’s rank reward is Attack Boost III + Attack Prize Plus. Top 10k get one, top 1k get two, and the top 100 get three. If you have any guilted medals that are good with APP (J&S, iXion, TVA, etc.) this is a great addition to your repertoire. If you have your APP on non-guilted buffs (like me… >_<) then this really isn’t worth a lot of trouble. Getting one is probably fine.
Then there’s the Cids, Magic Mirrors, Moogles, Skills, etc… the usual stuff. AB2 and DB2 are still on the Coliseum boards if you need them.
ALRIGHT THERE YOU GO! That’s it! Good luck this month!

Pt. 1.) Red Blue Blue
Pt. 3.) Red Blue Green
Pt. 5.) Blue Green Red Blue
Hey we finally got a real event! Yay! The long awaited Ariel&Flounder - and to a lesser degree Sebastian - is a catch-up mechanic for the people who never got iKairi. They both increase Strength by 3 tiers for one turn, A&F for 3 cost and Seb for 6 cost. Even if you have iKairi, these medals are still useful for other skills, specifically a DB3 or Second Chance on A&F for things like raid bosses and other one-hit mechanics. This frees up iKairi for Cost 1 at the end of this month’s Coliseum. Lastly, if you’re a new player or you just aren’t able to compete, getting a Cost 1 from the top 10k Coliseum this month and using it on Sebastian puts you on par with most of the player base (minus iKai’s heal). This is a really great event, especially for F2P players.
Just like previous HSC, you move from room to room and kill what you can. You cannot go back to previous rooms this time and there is no selecting a specific path. There are a ton of Special chests so medals like Key Art aren’t going to be that beneficial.
Each pack you encounter will have 3 enemies, one of each type. This fits into the World of Final Fantasy medals which ignore attributes (which I think means it always gets type advantage hits). The seven WoFF medals are also your only multipliers and they pack quite a punch. Each WoFF medal also has an AOE buff to help you along the way.
Here’s a list of the enemies:
Room 1:
Lv. 25 Shadow (P) & Possessor (M) & Soldier (S)
Lv. 50 Bag O’ Jewels (S) & Bag O’ Coals (M) & Bag O’ Coins (P)
Room 2:
Lv. 75 Blue Gummi Copter (M) & Yellow Gummi Copter (S) & Red Gummi Copter (P)
Lv. 100 Armored Knight (P) & Wizard (M) & Armored Archer (S)
Lv. 120 Ice Plant (M) & Dire Plant (S) & Red Rose (P)
Room 3:
Lv. 150 Search Ghost (S) & Defender (P) & Fire Plant (M)
Lv. 200 Large Armor (P) & White Rose (M) & Air Soldier (S)
Lv. 250 High Wizard (M) & Invisible (S) & Morning Star (P)
Room 4:
Lv. 275 Hammer Frame (P) & Cannon Gun (S) & Wayward Wardrobe (M)
Lv. 300 Blue Copter Fleet (M) & Red Copter Fleet (P) & Yellow Copter Fleet (S)
Room 5:
Lv. 400 Black Copter Fleet (S) & Blue Copter Fleet (M) & Red Copter Fleet (P)
(Probably more, I haven’t killed this one yet)
As for strategy, multipliers are going to be a big advantage. Stacking iKairi or equivalent with three WoFF medals and a huge damage medal like Marluxia B on Divine Rose will net you a ton of points. Your absolute best friend medal you can grab will be WoFF Sora with Sleep+, which will be essential to getting past the Lv. 400 group.
As for the score, I got 12 million with 0% dying halfway through the Lv. 400 group. The easiest Sebastian to get at 2.5 million, which seems obtainable to almost anyone with a pull of the WoFF banner. The easiest guilt for Sebastian is scoring in the top 2000 with 20 million points or getting in the top 1000. The easiest A&F you can get is to score in the top 5000. To guilt A&F you need to be in the top 1000 with 25 million points.
Also, Speed gems are trickled in those rankings.
So what’s the consensus? If you have J&S and iKairi, this event is mostly just for fun. With the nerfs to WoFF medals, they don’t matter very much. The attribute-ignoring powers are pretty cool though so I might recommend you grab at least one. Getting a Speed one for Olympia or a Magic one for DR could be great too. Stocking up on an extra A&F or Sebastian can be great for when Proud mode comes around.
If you’re a F2P player or you don’t have J&S or iKairi, the WoFF medals can be really useful and A&F/Seb is absolutely necessary. This event is literally for you.
Alright that’s all. If you happen to know what enemies lie beyond what I’ve managed to complete please leave it in the comments below and I’ll add it to the guide!
Good luck!!

Fuck this event.
So, every mission is timed. Every mission is a boss. And they are all terribly difficult. It’s a little disappointing because the Marluxia and Larxene events were so tailored to the individual members and their personalities, but Xemnas just gets “there are bosses, beat them fast”. Oh well…
Your reward is Xemnas B, a tier 3 guilt AOE Power with x3.10 and PSM down one tier for one turn. Here’s a picture. He’s only a bit better than Saïx for five bars instead of four and there’s not a very good place for Reversed Power on keyblades anyway. Honestly, if I were you, I’d skip the event altogether.
To guilt this medal, you will need a buff clear medal (see Alice, Belle, etc.). That’s not negotiable. You will need DB3 or Second Chance and you absolutely, 100% will need iKairi. If you don’t have at least one GDD (iXion, Meg, etc.) - probably two - you’re not going to get far. Lastly, you’ll very likely spend jewels since none of the requirements are one-turn.
So let’s get down to it. The layout is as follows:
Stage number.) Level of enemy Enemy name (Type +Additional health bars) +buffs
Complete in under this many seconds for reward - reward
1.) Lv. 50 Possessors (M)
40 seconds - HDL
2.) Lv. 75 Playing Cards (S +2)

9.) Lv. 250 Huge Snowman (M +43) +3 PSM-Def (+3 PSM-Str on turn 3)
200/230 seconds - Hairstyle
10.) Lv. 270 Behemoth (P +46) (builds P-Str)

11.) Lv. 280 Trickmaster (M +47)
180 seconds - Xemnas
12.) Lv. 290 Darkside Omega (S +64) +1 Def/+1 Str/Poison
180 seconds - Xemnas
13.) Lv. 300 Gummi Hound (S +59) +1 Str/+1 P-Str
180 seconds - Xemnas / 210 seconds - Title: No. I
Specifically, the thirteenth stage, the Gummi Hound uses a one-hit raid mechanic after 35 hits. You’ll either need second chance or use jewels to beat it, because I don’t see how someone would beat this in 35 hits.
The last three are all going to require an insane amount of luck or a few continues because they all one-hit. When you’re racing the clock, you’ll want to stack as many GDD and J&S medals as possible on top of iKairi and one hardcore damage medal. One medal with APP will get you all your SP back, so Key Art isn’t necessary. Use your friend slot for high damage, even though they don’t benefit from multiplier slots. Using Sleep+ also works but it’s tenuous at best.
Honestly this whole event is insane. After so many “for the people!” events like Donald, Goofy, and Larxene, I’m not surprised they made a challenging one. But this reminds me of that level 500 ghost around Halloween that almost no one completed. Working around the mechanics of things like the Marluxia event make sense to me as a gamer, but this event and its requirements is very strictly for the best of the best. It’s a little alienating, especially for such a subpar medal.
People with more in-depth boss strategies, please put them in the comments! I still can’t beat Mission 12 (I got a lot of this info from my roommate who spent over 1000 jewels), so we’ll see how it goes!
Anyway. Good luck!

Boards:
The outfits are awesome. Keyblade armor for Terra and Aqua! The boards have also been updated with DB2 and AB2 (yay!) and for some reason Attack Boost All II was added to the game. You know. Because how everyone loved ABA1 so much. The titles for the Terra and Aqua boards are Passionate and Elite respectively, and like always you can get everything on both boards by completing Tier 10.
Rankings:
Top 10k get the SP1 ability, a long awaited treasure that makes any medal cost only 1 SP! And it’s for the top 10k instead of the top 2.5k, making it much more obtainable! This is an absolute necessity in this game. It really levels the playing field for players with iKairi and those who will eventually get medals like Ariel&Flounder or Sebastian. The only downside is that there is very little incentive to push for 2.5k. Top 1k and Top 100, however, can get 2 or 3 SP1s respectively.
Good luck this month! It’s shaping up to be a great year for KHUX!

Another High Score Challenge! Though these are my favorite in-game event, they are probably my least favorite guide to make. This time we get Jafar and Jafar-Genie, which to everyone’s disappointment are not the Little Mermaid medals. They are both damage medals that are stronger the later they are used on a keyblade. In other words, Slot 5 would be stronger than Slot 1.
This HSC is back to the classics. As you traverse four screens, the enemies get harder and harder. You can go back to previous screens and there is only one pathway. Here’s your multiplier list:

The 21% multipliers are the two most recently added premiums: Illustrated Xion and HD Axel. In another predictable Square-signature dick move, HD Mickey is at 10%. HD Riku and Illustrated Xemnas are also sitting at 10%. Basically, only premiums are worth anything. But you’ll find some freebies trickled in there at 7%, like Christmas Sora, Larxene B, and the Moana medals.

Strategy:
Although you’ll see all three types in this mission, almost all the powerful ones are Speed. This means Treasure Trove, Olympia, and Moogle O’ Glory are your options. Though Olympia has the highest power multiplier, it only has one usable slot, where TT and MoG both offer more Power-heavy slots. But Magic is less effective against Speed, which makes MoG a little less desirable. At the moment I’m thinking my TT is doing the best, given this mission has so many extra Special chests.
For your first run, you should go about the mission as normal and see where your problem areas are. The Invisibles in Room 3 and the Gargoyles in Room 4 were the worst for me. (I still can’t beat the Cannon Guns, and I probably never will.) Once you identify where you’re most likely to die, head straight there and fight those enemies first. DB procs don’t help a lot since all the big enemies are in groups, so Second Chance or Sleep+ are basically essential. After you kill two of your problem groups by relying on procs, clear out the entire level before confronting what will wind up being your final foe. Do as much damage as you can before you die.
Always save the Special chests and Gift Shadows for when you need them. Also, leave enemies in the first screen and the Hook Bats in the second alive to refill special later on. A full clear will net you between 19-21 million. Though multipliers are always important, don’t let them stand in the way of clearing an extra group of enemies.
Rewards:
There are four Jafar medals in Score Rewards: at 7.5, 15, 20, and 30 million. There are two Jafar-Genie medals in Score Rewards as well, both at 40 million.
There are up to (the equivalent of) eight Jafar medals in rankings. The top 20k get one, the top 5k get two, the top 2k get three, and the top 1k get two three-dotted versions. This means to guilt Jafar you need either 30 million in the Top 2k or any score in the top 1k.
There are up to (the equivalent of) five Jafar-Genie medals in rankings. The top 5k get one, the top 2k get three, and the top 1k get five. This means to guilt Jafar-Genie you need to be in the top 1k as well as score at least 40 million. This will require above a 90% multiplier (which is at least four HD Axels/iXions). It hurts me to even type that…
Lastly, Power gems were added to the mix. Top 5k get one, 2k get two, and 1k get three. And to make it all worse, you only have the four days leading up to Christmas to finish the event!
*sigh*
Good luck. Event ends 12/25.
<3 KCM

So Larxene B is pretty great for a guaranteed Tier 3 guilt medal. She’s not quite as good as Marluxia A, but she’s free and only costs one gauge! The event is remarkably easier than last month, so if you weren’t able to get Marluxia B you shouldn’t consider yourself out of the running for Larxene.
Larxene’s abilities have a lot of influence on these missions! Specifically, four of the missions are “Kill the enemies with little HP”, a play on Larxene’s ability to clone herself when attacking. Additionally, there are five timed missions where the enemies move around quickly and Larxene is known for her speed and difficulty to pin down. The rest of the missions are littered with Wizards that pre-cast Thunder on you - Larxene’s element - and finally a showdown with a Behemoth, who paralyzes you with Thunder attacks. With Square’s dedication to theming these Organization events, I’m REALLY excited for the next one!
You can get a total of 7 Larxenes, which is enough to guilt without a reroll. Each mission also rewards 20 jewels for 260 jewels total. Here are the missions, their rewards, and the general strategy for beating them.
Mission 1: Huey&Dewey&Louie
The ones that don’t walk around are the Little HP ones. Target included.
Mission 2: Magic Mirror
Avoid the dogs.
Mission 3: Larxene
Four groups, all on the path down.
Mission 4: Huey&Dewey&Louie
The groups that only have one enemy are the Little HP enemies, including Target.
Mission 5: Larxene
Avoid the copters. There are 3 screens. This one sucks. Don’t hug the walls. First screen, the portal is in the bottom right. Second screen, the portal is in the top right.
Mission 6: Magic Mirror
Two High Wizard groups at the top. Four Wizard groups at the bottom. Target.
Mission 7: Magic Mirror
Avoid the dogs. Hug the walls. It’s a lot easier than Mission 5.
Mission 8: Larxene
The ones with sparkles by their feet are the Little HP enemies, including target.
Mission 9: Hairstyles
Four unavoidable High Wizards before the final group.
Mission 10: Larxene
Avoid the dogs. If they are moving too fast, just wait a second. This is very easy.
Mission 11: Larxene
The groups that only have one enemy are the Little HP enemies, including Target.
Mission 12: Larxene
Avoid the planes and dogs. Three screens. This one is pretty easy. Zig zag through the first two screens. Then just run from one side to the other in the last screen.
Mission 13: Larxene
Just a Behemoth fight. He’s got a lot of health bars, but he doesn’t hit very hard. Bring some buff medals and a really good damage dealer and you should be fine. J&S is great for this one. For his first hit he does x1 strength. For his third hit that goes up to x2 strength. He has a chance to paralyze you too.
Title: No. XII
Event ends on Dec. 19th! Good luck!
