hello, i have a question how i know the medal is tier 4 or other? thanks

image

The circled part is where the guilt percentage is.  The little logo next to the percent dictates what “Tier” it is in terms of guilt.  Tier 1 is 10-25%, Tier 2 is 20-50%, Tier 3 is 40-100%, Tier 4 is 60-130%, and Tier 5 is 80-150%.  Here’s an screenshot of the Tiers, their guilt ranges, and the symbols associated to them:

Hope this helps!!

The only Kingdom Hearts game I've played though is KH2 (multiple times), and I've played a bit of the original Kingdom Hearts and Re: Chain of Memories, but didn't really get into them. After seeing the latest trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3, I've gotten reeeeeally hyped for the series again. I'm going to start a playthrough of all the content as outlined in your Beginners' Gude, and I'm wondering: About how many hours of play/watchtime can I expect to get though everything before KH3 comes out?

Ohhhhh what a question.  Um… assuming you haven’t played the games before or you remember very little of them:

KH1: ~24 hours, ~30 with all Reports, totally doable
CoM: ~20 hours, ~12 hours for Riku’s story
KH2: ~28 hours, ~50 with all optional bosses, very hard
358: ~24 hours for the game or 3 hours for the movie.  1.5+2.5 updated the 358 movie to include a final battle cutscene (which is awesome!) and it makes the movie version a lot more substantial than it was before.  Alternatively I am reading the manga right now and it is glorious.  ~3 hours for the manga, 5 books
BBS: ~15 hours per character (x3), ~4 hours for Final and Secret episode, and anywhere from 2-20 hours to unlock Secret episode.  This is the huge time commitment one, IMO
Coded: 3 hours, watch the movie
DDD: ~24 hours
KHUx: Ongoing, but my Theater Mode, which focuses only on relevant plot, is currently at about 2 hours
0.2: ~3 hours

Total: ~170 hours, or just over a week of straight gameplay

Difficulty settings will drastically change this, but it sort of balances out.  If you’re trying to do optional bosses, they will be much easier on Beginner, but if you’re trying to unlock secret endings, they will be much easier on Proud or Critical.  If you’re following my guide and you’re willing to watch videos on YouTube, this is about right! ^_^

I know 170 hours sounds daunting, but it’s really not.  A lot of people put twice that into Skyrim.  I’ve put ten times that into the KH franchise over the past fifteen years. >///< But even if KH3 comes out one year from today (oh God please let that be the case), then you’re only looking at three hours a week, or less than half an hour a day!

It’s an amazing series, start to finish.  A bit of a wild ride at times.  But I honestly don’t think anyone can get more out of a video game than they can get out of Kingdom Hearts.

Have fun!!  And thank you for the question!!

deathofmyinnerchildchronicles:

i need help. which of this medals deserves ATTACK BOOST IV, ATTACK BOOST IV & ATTACK PRIZE PLUS, DEFENSE BOOST III, TWO ATTACK ALL II AND TWO DEFENSE BOOST II.
and a lot of POISON, SLEEP, and PARALYZIS @kingdomheartsfaq ¿?

What are you using for Str Up? DB3 is good for that. Or non guilted defense down medals. AB4 on a guilted Tier 4 or 5. Otherwise a strong guilted Tier 3 like Herc and Phil or Xigbar B. APP should be on a medal that does multiple hits but with Tieri it’s pretty useless. AB All is trash. Drop the status medals on any Tier 2 for objective completion. They only activate on tap so there’s no point putting them on a good medal. Hope this helped!!

3, 9, 10!

3. How many allies would you have with you as you travel?

Probably one.  I like the idea of having a back-to-back duo sort of fighting style.  Probably another keyblade wielder!  I really like how Xion and Roxas fight together in the 358/2 Days manga.

9. If you could be partners with one character in the series, who would it be?

Oh jeeze.  Maybe Kairi.  I’ve got such a crush on her. >////<

10. What KHX/KHUX union would you belong to?

Vulpes for sure!  I’m in Vulpes at the moment in KHUX, but I have an unnatural admiration for Ava.  I came for the cute pink girl and I stayed for the cute pink girl.

Thanks for the questions!!

#11?

11. What is your favorite magic spell?

Oh that one’s hard.  I have a soft spot for Aero in KH1, Balloon in Dream Drop, and Seeker Mines in BBS.  But I’m going to have to go with Thunder.  It’s always my most used spell.  I’m a huge sucker for AOE!

Thanks for the question!!

Number 2 for the "if I was a wielder"ask!

2. What would be your starting keyblade?

I’m a sucker for KHUX at the moment, since my character is canon!  So Starlight would probably be my starting one.  But my favorite keyblade, and ultimate goal in terms of growing as a wielder, is Oathkeeper!

Hey! Thanks for your coliseum guides they are amazingly useful. I was hoping you could give me some advice, I have a couple medals that I consider strong, but I only have enough Chip and Dale's to give them to one. I'm not sure what would be best so what do you think?: World of Chaos, HD Roxas, Illustrated Terra, Illustrated Ventus and Illustrated Sora & Pals. Out of all of them only World of Chaos is guilted but only with one spot. Thanks in advance!

Sorry if this is a bit late - it’s been a long weekend.

By one spot, I assume you mean traits.  World of Chaos is really good and if you have it guilted (with the percent value lit up) then I absolutely recommend putting Chips and Dales into that one.  If you just mean you have one dot, then you aren’t getting the multiplier bonus.

Dales for Defense are worth putting on any medal you use on a lot of keyblades.  Chips for Strength, on the other hand, are only really useful on guilted medals, with their special attack bonus unlocked.  In the list above, HD Roxas, Illustrated Terra, and WoC are your best ones, though the first two depend on your setup.

Don’t worry too much about Chips and Dales.  They come and go very often.  Make sure you’re hitting those weekend warrior boards if you’re running short and do all the Union Cross boards.

Thanks for the nice words and I hope this helped some!!

Hope you're doing well. Mind helping a mediocre player get their Lexeus hairstyle? Idk what medals to put with iKH2K, Piglet& Classic Donald on a 3W +26. No Ice Titan yet and XigB is 1 dot. Also what skills can I add to the medals? Thanks in advance!

Hairstyles is the Behemoth, right?  So you need to knock down like 40 health bars in two turns.  I don’t think it hits that hard so this is just going to be a straight “do as much damage as possible” run.  You have the right idea with Piglet and Tieri.  If you have a second Piglet, any of the +3 Str medals, that kind of stuff, I recommend using those.  Moana/Ursula is a great one too.  Any two-turn medals like J&S or World of Chaos.  Your ideal setup here is going to be 3 buffs and 2 damages, with a Friend medal that does damage.

Keyblade multipliers are really important.  I know Behemoth is Power type but DR might be better if you have them at higher numbers.  3W at +26 only gives x2.0 on Classic Donald.  DR at +26 gives x2.2.  At +30 it gives x2.6!  That’s way better.  And you said you don’t have Ice Titan so you probably don’t have any good guilted Reversed Magic damage dealers (though you should have Maleficent B).  Still, multipliers are very low on 3W.

If you don’t have Malef B or a good Reversed Magic, all your damage is coming from Donald.  If this is the case, change to DR.  For your fifth slot on DR, if you don’t have any guilted Rev. Speed (Xaldin B works great here) then just toss in another buff for your friend medal.  Especially 2 turn medals, use here.  It’s a huge shame to waste such a crazy high multiplier, but you can only work with what you’ve got.

For your friend medal, take a max guilted KDG if you can.  Especially with extra attack.  It’s better than Xigbar B because the guilt percent is higher and defense down doesn’t impact Behemoth that much.  Also remember your Friend medal multiplier is higher based on keyblade level, so using a friend on a +30 keyblade is going to do more than on a +26.

I hope this helps!

I joined KHUX global after the Xigbar B event, so is it still possible to get in draws? ;n;

Nope!  It’s exclusive to the event.  That sort of thing happens all the time.  I always make reference to event medals in my guides because I can assume a lot of players have them.  There’s so many medals, so many traits, so many skills, that the possibilities are endless.  I’m just playing the odds with my suggestions.  But that doesn’t mean the medals I recommend are required!

Xigbar B is a very good medal right now, one of the best single target medals in the game.  But it will get replaced by another medal sooner or later.  That’s how this game works.  So don’t be too discouraged.  Xigbar B will fade away, just like Marluxia B.  And damn did that medal have a cult following! O_O

Hope this helped!
