Hi, Im Kaci. I play too much Kingdom Hearts. If you've got questions, I've got answers.

Hi¡! How you doing¿? I need some of your advice, to increase my lux farming. latelly most members of my party are pushing harder on the lux collecting, and as Leader, I think I should put out an example of Lux Farming. So, how can I get to obtain more lux, aside of filling my keyblade with lux+ skills¿?

So Lux Max skills really changed the game.  Everyone usually gets the most lux per boss now, as long as all your damage medals have Lux Max on them.  The goal is actually to kill the boss as fast as possible and get a new one up!  This means buff medals, high damage with Lux Max skills, and 40% raid traits.

Kairi EX takes care of the buffs if you were lucky enough to get her.  Her plus a copy medal should take up your first two slots.  Otherwise, the traditional 0.2 Kai/Tieri combo works pretty well.

You want a keyblade that’s back-weighted.  Proud mode, SoM, FS… those things.  High multiplier slots.  High medal multipliers.  For AOE, anything over 3.0 is good.  For ST, 4.0.  You should have at least one AOE medal, probably two.  Raid 40% traits are KILLER here.  If you have any guilted medals with 40% please consider using it!  VIP medals are good for rolling Raid traits, since you get seven rolls.  I lucked into 80% and Extra Attack on my Aqua & Stitch and she absolutely destroys.

Once you have a good load out, make sure you have Lux Max on everything.  Lux Max always gives you extra lux based on damage done.  Don’t be afraid to use AB2 Lux Max if you run out of AB3 or AB4.  The medal will do less damage, thus netting you less Lux, but the health is still there to be struck by another Lux medal.  It will take longer to kill the boss, but you won’t lose Lux.  Just time.

The raid boss type matters too, so if you have a Raid 40% trait on a medal that ignores attributes (Tsums, for example) then that’s worth thinking about.  You can’t really plan for boss types too much.  My Lux blade is all speed, so on Magic weeks I do amazing and on Power weeks I do alright.  That’s just how it is sometimes.

As the leader of your party, don’t worry about being #1.  Just show everyone that you are trying and that will be enough.  You should be an inspiration, but that doesn’t mean you need to be the best.  I’m the leader of my party and I’m definitely not the best player. ^_^

Anyway, I hope that helps!

Where can i get divine rose keyblade? And all other ones? Is it in story mode? Im currently at q300

Great question!  Divine Rose is from story quest #433.

Starlight, Treasure Trove, Lady Luck, Three Wishes, Olympia, Divine Rose, Stroke of Midnight, and Fairy Stars are from Story Mode in that order.

Moogle O’ Glory has its own series of five quests (up on the weekends I think?).  Completing the first one gives you the keyblade.

Sleeping Lion, Counterpoint, Fenrir, Darkgnaw, Missing Ache, and Diamond Dust (coming soon) are from Proud Mode in that order.

Hope that helps!

Hey there, thanks for running this blog, it's so helpful! lol I'd love your advice: I have six Mickey&brooms, should I guilt HD Namine (no dots) or about 3-4 other 5 tier medals? I have Xeha&Vani, KA6 & KA8 that need 1 or 2 MBs So I guess copy or nova?

Great question!  Sorry for the delayed reply - I was at a convention all weekend.

The truth is, Nova is gettin less and less useful as time goes on.  It’s a linear increase in damage where medals are becoming exponentially more powerful with buffs like Kairi EX.  My Lv. 800 Nova only does 7-8 bars of health when buffed, but a strong damage medal can do 40-50 bars.  I know that seems insane, but KEX is breaking the game.

On another note, HD Namine is a downright amazing medal.  Copy medals in general are glorious right now, given upright magic (Namine) and reversed power (HD Xion) are common slots in top end keyblades.  Having Namine guilted is a huge blessing.  But that being said, the Copy Banner (one of six copy medals per pull!) is coming up in about a month and that will be great for traits and guilts.

M&B aren’t that rare anymore though.  We get a lot in giveaways, but brooms are showing up in events all the time.  Six M&B for Namine might be a bit much, maybe wait for the Copy banner?  But Nova isn’t the way to go anymore!  That being said, if you’re just impatient and you want to start tricking out your keyblades, Namine is one of the best medals to use M&B on!

Hope that helps!

What the best trait for medals who do less then 3 hits and what best trait for medals who do more then 3 hits

Number of hits isn’t really relevant to the trait system.  For damage medals, the absolute best traits are +1000 Str, -60% Ground Def, and -60% Aerial Def.  This is because it increases the damage done on those medals, especially in Coliseum and other high level enemies.  For buff medals, the best is Extra Attack because you guarantee yourself twice the buffs off one medal.  Other valued alternatives for buff medals are HP and Def to help you survive.  Raid damage is always best for medals you’re going to put Lux Plus skills on.  And +2 Gauges and the 3 resists are just “quality of life” things that aren’t really useful beyond very specific circumstances.

I hope that helps!

Having played both games, wouldn't it be good to play 358 intermittently throughout a KH2 playthrough, making sure to finish 358 before starting the final world of KH2? It would balance the monotony of missions with the fast-paced gameplay of KH2, and wouldn't ruin the mystique of Org. XIII since you're still slowly unraveling their motives from both sides. Do you think any problems might arise from playing both games at once, or is this a good way to balance the good and bad of both?

Oh this is a cool question!  Let me think…

Regardless, I think KH2′s opening event should be first.  Not knowing who Roxas is and playing as him is definitely important to the feel of the game for KH2.

The Organization is revealed very slowly through KH2.  Xemnas is shown about halfway through.  Saix is shown a little earlier.  Demyx is introduced during your first trip to Olympia.  But Xaldin, Luxord, and Xigbar are revealed pretty late in the game.  During 358, there is little mystery as to who the characters are.  This could be a bad thing because it ruins the mystique.  But on the other hand, having a more personal connection to the Org members before meeting them as Sora in KH2 might be cool too…

The other overlaps with KH2 and 358 are the fight at Memory Skyscraper and the explanation from Riku after you beat Saix.  Maybe the end of 358 should take place between those two?  Then again, seeing the fight in KH2 (Riku’s explanation) and then understanding WHY it happens when you play 358 is half the fun.  Like everything clicks into place.  So maybe after you beat Saix, finish 358, then do the cutscene with the Encoder and Ansem, then the final battle.

Then you have that last scene with Roxas at the end of KH2 that would really wrap up the 358 feels.  Then again, thinking 358 is about Roxas is a huge mistake.  It’s all about Xion.  So maybe KH2 would be a distraction from what’s important…

Anyway.  I don’t see any inherent problems with what you’re suggesting!  I think it could break up the monotony of 358 and it could be an interesting way to see the story from two perspectives.  My only rules would be 1.) Don’t start 358 until you finish Roxas’s part in KH2 and 2.) Do ~Tears~ and Memory Skyscraper AFTER beating Saix in KH2 and BEFORE leaving Proof of Existence.

Hope this helps! ^_^

Are the current union cross quest 1 star medals worth getting to 6 star and guilted?

The drop rate on the Union x medals are pretty random, if I’m not mistaken.  You don’t really get a choice on which medals you get.  So guilting them might be a little difficult, but it might be worth doing too!

First and foremost, each max guilted medal is 6 Nova levels!  For new players, 19 medals is 114 Nova!  That’s not something you should ignore.

The guilts are Tier 2s and 3s, and the multipliers aren’t that high.  Christmas Sora (with +1 Str, +1 Def) can be a good guilted medal for new players and Classic Donald and Sora & Riku & Meow Wow are pretty nice single target damagers.  Other than that, Young Kairi, Alice & Cheshire Cat, and Judy & Nick can be pretty nice buffs to have but they don’t need to be guilted.

I honestly think these reprint events are great for new players, but the real benefit comes from getting Nova.  You better believe I’m going to be working on max guilting my J&N and Flowbermeow!  But if you’ve been playing this game a while and have some quality guilted T3 medals (like the Org ones or Herc & Phil or anything like that) then these are pretty useless.

Hope that helps!

Wouldn't it be a great idea to have a special category in KHUX where medals are sorted by it's series title like all KH II related medals or Birth by Sleep,... so you have more fun collecting all of the medals in the game rather then just focus to have the best stats and having them mixed? I think for fans this would be so satisfying as i often thought this medal is cool but weak so it's just confusing keeping them unenvolved anyway. But with this feature i would keep them all. :)

This is a super interesting idea!  I don’t know if I’d use the feature but it would be a nice addition.

I think the big problem is that this game really doesn’t lend itself to collectors.  I would know, because I am one!  Event medals are exclusive to their events and other medals (like the EX ones or Copy Arts) can’t be pulled under normal conditions.  I remember having almost every medal in the game (my album was at like 97%!) when they came out with Key Art 1.  And you had to have a GUILTED version of Xion or Axel.  That was the first exclusive one I missed.  I missed a few more after that. It sucks to know I’ll never get 100% album.

If anything, I think they should add organization options to the album.  Then you could organize that by game title and you wouldn’t have to hold onto all those junky medals! :D

Thanks for the ask.  I had a lot of fun with this one!

Whats your party in khux? are you friends or just competative? im in a great party but im always interested in how other people lead there partys!

My party is called Amamizukan!  It started as a group of real-life friends, but after they started doing Top 50 party rewards I began recruiting.  Now we have members from all over the world and a Discord server to keep in touch.  We started channels for Pokemon Go and NSFW content.  Almost everyone has silly, unique titles.  One of my party members makes video tutorials for HSC events and another gets over a billion Lux every crown week.  One flew up to visit last month and another mails me gifts from Disneyland.  A lot of us are trying to get together for an anime convention later this year, even a girl from Sweden!

Honestly, if it wasn’t for my party, I might not even play KHUX anymore.  I consider them some of my best friends.

Are you still making HSC and event guides?

I am!! ^_^

The HSC guides are probably going to fall to the wayside.  They are very competitive, so any advice I give will probably come back to bite me in the butt.  But more than that, HSC guides aren’t really… helpful?  I mean, after one go-through with the event, you know what you’re dealing with.  And the “strategy” is always just “L method and high multiplier”.  It’s pretty pay to win, so guides aren’t worth the trouble.

Event guides are still going to be posted!  I didn’t make one for Axel; I’ve just been very busy all week.  I got a promotion at work, so that’s cutting into a lot of my guide-making time (yes, I usually make guides at work XD).  I’ve been in and out of doctor’s appointments.  And my girlfriend finally quit her job so all my free time is accounted for.

Anyway, I’m very very sorry I haven’t been helpful or attentive to the blog this week but I’ll make it up to you guys soon!  Thanks for all the love and support!

Hi, I'm currently trying to do the gauntlet challenge in KHUX in attempt to fill up the event boards on offer, but I'm having difficulty farming for more event coins. Is there any way that can happen?

By the looks of it, you can only get event coins from the objectives for each mission.  That’s 30 coins per mission over 16 missions.  480 coins, which is exactly what you need to fill up the board.  You’re probably having difficulty because only half the missions (8 of 16) are currently released.  If you look at the banner, it says new quests on 8/3 and 8/5.  Check back on those dates and you should be good to go! :D

Hope this helped.
