Your opinion on the VIP "deal" for guilting/traiting EX KH3 Sora?

Uhhhh.  Well.  It’s complicated, I guess.  On one hand, everyone got a free giveaway EX medal, which has some great buffs and the Str is awesome.  And with Copy Arts, it’s a really good medal to have, regardless of guilt or traits.  So that’s cool.  Also, though JP’s version is stronger, it’s weaker comparatively to their current medals (still T5 guilt).  So I think the global version got the better deal.  Plus global has the “option” to guilt it, which JP doesn’t (yet).

I think it’s definitely not worth $90 to guilt it.  But with 0.2 Kairi coming up, VIP T5 medals, and additional 1400 jewels every few weeks, it’s just another added incentive to the weekly VIPs.  Plus then you get trait rolls and…

I don’t know.  My take on it is this: if you’re someone who usually buys the weekly deals, this is great.  If you’re someone who is on the fence, this might push you over.  But if you’re F2P or you don’t really have the money, you’re not missing a lot.

I think the biggest problem with this “deal” is that it simply isn’t in the spirit of the announcement.  They showed us a new trailer, a new world, and gave us a release date, but they are holding $90 over our heads for one guilted medal?  No.  Like, it’s cool that they gave one away to everyone, but releasing only one a week is blatant money-grabbing.  Why not give one away and put seven more on a one-week VIP?  Just about everyone would buy it!

In short, the whole thing is really greedy.  But it’s also not really surprising.

He. Has. Arrived!!

(Huge thanks to Square Enix North America for that notice. I have always loved this series and for a long time I have felt that the players of KHUX weren’t given the attention they deserved. And this seems like a step in a more personal direction. I can’t wait to see what you guys do next!!)
