Hi, Im Kaci. I play too much Kingdom Hearts. If you've got questions, I've got answers.

A demonstration of Starlight Pt. 5.  Unfortunately the Adamantite Challenges are mostly damage checks, so there’s not a whole lot you can do about a guide.  But here’s some info!

Enemies
~Lv. 160 Yellow Copter Fleet (Speed +2 Type-Defense)
~Lv. 160 Red Copter Fleet (Power +2 Type-Defense)
~[Target] Lv. 160 Blue Copter Fleet (Magic +2 Type-Defense) (has two more health bars than the other groups)

~Also, there’s a chest with about six bars of Special!  Very helpful!
~Enemies have 4-5 (6-7) bars of health each.
~Alice didn’t seem very helpful, since their defense is still off the charts.
~Using BC Mickey and Shadow to avoid the Type Defense does work!  But unless you’ve got some good Guilt, it’s not going to be enough damage.
~Defense down cards like Owl and S&D&G are great.

I powered through with all Magic types.  If you have Illustrated Sora you might be able to do the same with Power.

Hope it helped!  Have fun!

My Namine trick for beating Master Ava in Mission 425 in three turns!

Here’s my build:
Lady Luck +23
Namine
Buff Medal (Aerith in this case)
Buff Medal (Piglet or Pooh is best!)
High Damage (Tifa 50% guilt +1000)
High Damage (Sephiroth +1000)
Friend: High Damage (Marluxia +1000)
—Attack boosts on damage
—Defense boosts on buffs

On Turn 1, she starts with x2 attribute strength.
On Turn 2, she starts with x3 attribute defense.
On Turn 3, she starts with x3 attribute strength.

Hitting Ava gives way more Special than it should, so abuse that.
Use Namine on all three turns.
Use all buffs/damage on turns 1 and 3.
Make sure your buff cards are strength only, because Namine will steal her type-strength.
If you’re not taking her out, you need stronger damage or better procs!

Gives the title: Unchained

Farmable Medals

EDIT: Farmable medals don’t have a lot of practical purpose anymore.  Even beginning the game now, one or two pulls during an Epic Medal Carnival will easily outrank even guilted farmables.  HOWEVER.  Farmables can be used for NOVA leveling, which is still very important.  There are 90 levels total - 6 levels per farmable.

~~~
There are 15 medals in the game that are farmable: that is, medals that can be obtained from story quests.  All of them are Tier 1 guilt (10-25%) but they can be a very helpful boost early in the game or if you’re not getting the draws you want!  Here’s a list of what they are, where to get them!
Power:
Wakka -
Mission 47 - Target
Goofy Ver. A - Mission 38 - Target
Paine - Mission 81 - Target
Pence - Mission 160 - Target
Young Hercules - Mission 12 - Target
Speed:
Tidus -
Mission 47 - Target
KH Sora Ver. A - Mission 85 - Target
Rikku - Mission 24 - Target
Hayner - Mission 47 - Blue Chest
Stitch - Mission 12 - Target
Magic:
Selphie -
Mission 38 - Target
Donald Ver. A - Mission 85 - Target
Yuna - Mission 14 - Target
Olette - Mission 14 - Target
Jiminy Cricket - Mission 51 - Target
(All of them can be found in other places!  I tried to pick missions with a decent drop rate that drop 2* instead of 1*, since they’ll be easier to level and guilt.)
(Specifically Mission 81 drops four or five different farmables, so it’s a great place to start!)
So what’s worth it?
For Power, Goofy and Young Herc.  Goofy costs less than Paine and has higher strength.
For Speed, Stitch’s single target is awesome, and Rikku has best AOE.
For Magic, Yuna is the way to go.
Jiminy is nice, but don’t guilt him.
The Twilight Trio is easily replaced by Diz, Aerith, or Vivi.
You can also farm up the evolve medals in the following missions, though the drop rates can be pretty low sometimes.  All of them drop from Pretender chests:
Cheshire Cat: Mission 63
Merlin: Mission 57
Fairy Godmother: Mission 64
Yen Sid: Mission 164
Fantasia Mickey: Mission 270
Happy hunting!
(Edit: khuxlightshope pointed out Goofy’s strength is higher than Paine’s)
Guide to Guilt
Once you hit Mission 200 34, you get an item called a Power Bangle.  That means little symbols appear next to those empty circles in your 6* medals:
image
You fill those bubbles by combining identical cards.  By combining 6, the guilt icon lights up and it give you a percent multiplier to your special attack.
image
However, there are four eight (and counting!) tiers of guilt, to complicate things even further, and you can tell which tier a medal is by the guilt symbol by the bubbles a little number above the Level Up button (not shown in picture).  Each Tier has its own maximum and minimum percentages.
image
(Thanks KHinsider for such an awesome infographic.)
So how do you get better guilt?  Well, each tier generally represent its rarity.  Also, the lower the tier, the fewer stars you can get it in.  For instance, there is no such thing as a 1* Sephiroth, because he is a Tier 4.  Olette, however, can be 1* all the way through 6*.
Tier 1: Farmable - 1* to 6* - like Stitch and Olette above, these can be rewarded from completing missions.  Sometimes event medals that are easy to farm are also Tier 1.  If you’ve got some free time and 15 dollars, you can get all the Tier 1 guilts without too much hassle.
Tier 2: Rare - 3* to 6* - only from medal pulls and events.  If you save your medals after each pull, these are completely doable for a F2P player.  All based on chance.
Tier 3: Epic - 5* to 6* - They go up to 100% which is amazing!  But getting an epic medal is very rare unless you do pulls during the Epic Medal Carnivals.  Even then, there are already tons of Epics and it’s hard to get the same one seven times.
Tier 4+: Premium - 6* only - They are available exclusively through medal draws and Ranked events, and are consistently the best medals in the game.  Guilting them is a real show of ability and/or luck.
Here’s an example of what a Tier 4 Guilt looks like on a medal:
image
So now that you know what Guilt is, we should talk about how to get it!  Obviously you need 7 of each medal type, but leveling seven medals to 6* and combining them sounds like a pain, doesn’t it?  In order for the orbs to fill, the combined medals have to be the same star.  That is, a 5* Mickey when combined with a 6* Mickey won’t give you an orb, and you will have wasted a good Mickey!  Only a 6* can be combined with a 6*, 5* with 5*, and so on.  But there are limitations!
1*: 0 orbs
2*: 0 orbs
3*: 1 orb
4*: 2 orbs
5*: 3 orbs
6*: 5 orbs and Guilt
That means you can’t combine a 1* and a 1*, you have to combine a 3* and a 3*.  Here’s an example of a 5* with only three orbs:
image
The most economical route is to combine your 7 medals together at the lowest level, so you have fewer to level up!  Obviously if you are working with Tier 3 guilt medals, it becomes less complicated as they start at 5*, or even LESS complicated with Tier 4, since everything is 6* already.  Here’s a great infographic from KHinsider on the optimum way to guilt medals.
(LINK)
As you can see, you always need 7 of the medal you want.  Combining two medals together that already have an orb will actually add an additional orb (for the one holding the orb)!  In short, a 5* with one orb combined with a 5* with one orb equals a 5* with three orbs.  That’s because there are always four medals that you’re working with.
When guilting, the ideal is a 5* with three orbs and a 5* with two orbs.  Make them both into 6*s, then combine the two.  That is 4 (medal+3) and 3 (medal+2) = 7 (medal+5+guilt).  It sounds crazy, but once you do it once, it’ll make sense.
Things to remember:
~Only combine medals that are identical - same medal ID, same medal name, same amount of stars. (The exception to this is that the level of the medal doesn’t matter.)
~DO NOT DO THIS UNTIL MISSION 200 34!! Or you won’t get guilt.  You can only get the 5 orbs.
~If you are unsure, check the preview.  It will show blinking orbs where the orbs will be filled in.
~If you get a bad roll - say, 20% on a Tier 2, when you want a 50% - leveling up another 6* and combining it /again/ will re-roll your guilt.  Guilt cannot be re-rolled LOWER than what you had, so there’s no downside.  Of course, this means you will need 8 medals instead of 7.
~Magic Mirrors are given out during events.  They increase your Guilt on one medal by 1%.  So if you roll a 48% on a Tier 2, don’t worry.  You can get up to 50% with 2 Magic Mirrors.
That’s all!  Any questions, feel free to message me!
<3 KCM
Edit: The coveted Fantasia Mickey B (Mickey & Brooms) was added to the game.  This adds one dot to any medal.  If there are five dots, it activates guilt.  If it has guilt, it rerolls guilt.  They are still very rare though so use them wisely!  Preferably on Tier 7+ medals.
Weekend Only Raid Event - 8/6
So apparently they are doing raid bosses every weekend.  And they are stupid strong.  This weekend is a Fortress Crab with 10 million health.  With two friends, we couldn’t beat the thing in an hour.  So this is going to be one of those “can’t solo” kind of things.
So what do you get?
There’s an associated event board, containing:
–1 Cid
–3 Chip (+25)
–3 Dale (+25)
–2 Chip (+5)
–2 Dale (+5)
(Maybe a title?  Someone tell me if it gives you a title!)
Also, between 1-2p, 5-6p, and 8-9p Pacific time, you get:
–Appearance rate of raid boss doubles
–Lux received doubles
–AP cost reduced by half
Which is all useless, since AP is only 10, then 1AP for each attempt on the boss, and the Lux it gives is absolutely abysmal. (You’re looking at 400 lux per run).
So that boss has ten million HP.  That’s 30 times the Fortress Crab from the other event.  The timer is two hours.  Each kill nets you 50 event coins, plus 10 for host/mvp, and 10 for all points.  The board takes 140 coins to complete, so you’re looking at 2 runs as host/mvp, or 3 otherwise.
All in all, this whole event seems pointless.  I’m not even going to bother with screenshots or videos.  If +85 strength/defense means more to you than three hours of your life, have at it.  Otherwise, don’t bother.
(Then again, I’ll probably do it anyway… in case there’s a title!!)
Edit: With 5 people, it takes about 20 minutes to kill.
High Score Challenge: Ice Cream Trio
image
Ends July 29th.
This is a great way to get Attack Boost 1 and 2 for your medals!  It’s also a great way to get Magic Mirrors if you’ve got any nice guilted cards, some Cids, and Chips and Dales.
This is simultaneously much easier and much harder than the Cloud HSC earlier this month.
The easy part: Invisibles from the other HSC did more damage based on health lost, which made killing those level 200 ones very hard.  However, the Morning Stars from this HSC build defense - much easier to deal with.  Take your time.  Chip away at them.  Bring Poison.  Bring a Minnie.  Don’t have a Minnie?  Bring a friend’s Minnie.  Don’t have friends?  Message me and join my party until the end of the event.  The hardest part here is keeping your special up.  If you’ve got an Attack Prize Plus ability, use it.  Use as many defense boosts as you can, preferably on Minnie.  If you can survive a turn without healing because of defense boost procs, that saves a ton of special bars.
The hard part: Multipliers are MUCH harder to come by.  The point of High Score Challenges is to stack medals that have multipliers (listed below). Where the HSC event guaranteed 15% and 25% medals from the 10 medal draw, this one guarantees “any Org XIII member”, most of which are 7%.  Only 3/13 (no Xemnas) are 21%.  This means the high multiplier medals will go to those with a lot of money or a lot of luck. (I am neither of those types of people.) Luckily the necessary scores are lower for the rewards, too, so you don’t need 80% like last time.  I had 413k at 21%.  I have heard that 28% can get you 480k, which gets you every Scrooge in the event!  It should also put you in the rankings for the Attack Boost MAX skill.
**NOTE: The above have to be 6 star to get the bonus!!
The plan: Go straight for the level 200.  He’s at the start, in the first area you can enter.  Beat him.  If you can’t, but come close, do the reset trick (see below) and hope for better procs.  If you can’t, and don’t come close, do the reset trick and then quit or die, so you hold onto your special bars once you tune your keyblade. I used Three Wishes.  Olympia has three more bars of special, but I think the lack of multipliers for magic medals will be a huge drawback (if you stack Poison, however, this may not be important, since multipliers don’t factor in). Once you beat the level 200, you know you can beat the rest of the level.  Stay smart.  Grab chests when you need them.  Fight low level groups to refill Special.
(For those who don’t know - force closing the app before dying resets the encounter, so you can practice a little bit.  It’s a handy trick that I’m qualifying as not-cheating for my own sanity.)
Last but not least: if you can’t beat the level 200 no matter how hard you try, then skip it.  Try for the 180, which is late in the level.  Find the highest level you CAN beat.  Then work your way down.  Then finish out the level and be happy that you got a ton of stuff.  You don’t need to kill everything to get a good score. ^_^
Recommended:
~~7% medal (magic if you can)
~~7% medal (magic if you can)
~~STRONG magic medal (guilted preferred)
    (one of your 6 stars will probably need -10 cost)
~~Minnie (defense boost)
~~5 star w/ Poison (keyblade cost is a bitch)
~~Friend: Pray someone has 14% or higher
Optional:
Having trouble doing damage? Put these in your 5 star spot!
~~Stack Paralyze - it can save you some heals
Thanks for reading!  Like, reblog, tell your friends!  And if you’ve got any questions, feel free to Ask!
<3 KCM
Edit: I really undervalued Poison.  You can pretty much just use tons of poison and Minnie.  Paralyze saved my butt too.
Also, there seems to be a pretty big range of randomization to the score.  With 35% I got 460k and 490k on two identical runs.  So if you’re close to one of those score thresholds, just try again!!
Going the Distance: Judy & Nick
image
The Going the Distance event ends August 6th.  It can net you a 7 Judy & Nick medals, which means you can guilt it.  J&N gives you +1 strength and +1 defense for one turn for 3 special bars, which isn’t that useful outside coliseum, so if you can’t get all seven, don’t worry.  Guilt is Tier 2, btw. 20-50%
It can also give you a lot of Chips and Dales, Moogles, a couple Cids, and some nephews.  So it’s worth doing at 5AP each.
The level 180 one (screenshot above) is pretty hard.  Beating the Invisible is tricky, but living through the rest of the level afterward is just as challenging.  If you’ve got Pooh and Piglet that should help a lot.  If not, stacking strength to +2 or +3 might be mandatory.  I did it at +2 (KH2 Aerith and DiZ).  Use Olympia, since it has crazy high multipliers (x2.25 power slot!) and the 18 bars to really unleash hell.  If you’ve got the +22 Olympia, you’ll have an advantage with an extra speed slot, but I did it with a +21.  I put a ‘50% guilted +1000 KH2 Leon B with Attack Boost 2’ in the x2.25 slot, which did three of his health bars.  I used a shared card to finish it off.
If you can spare the extra slot, or if you don’t need a friend card, I recommend Minnie so you can take your time on the other three groups.  I managed to slip her into my 5th slot and still take out the Invisible.
Lastly, do the “no treasure chests” and the “invisible 1 turn” on different runs.  The chests only net 6 bars or something, but they can be life or death.
After you beat all 15 missions, you unlock the Bonus mission.  The enemies are level 250 and I can’t do a scrap of damage to them.  It rewards a title and other stuff.  And I really want to know what the title is.  But there is absolutely no way I’ll beat this in 12 days.  I’ve looked around online but I haven’t found anyone who has beaten it.
Thank you for reading!  I hope it was helpful.  If you have any questions or comments feel free to send an ask, and if you happen to know the title that is awarded from mission 16, please tell me so I can add it to the guide (and appease my curiosity).
Credentials
I’ve been into KH since 2004, back when I was still a young girl.  I’ve beaten all of them on Proud/Critical, obviously, and I’ve 100% every game. (I haven’t, however, 100% 358/2 on Proud, so I’m working on that.)
So this new phone game came out and I’m like “okay, I have to get into that”.  Now it’s 107 days later and I am thoroughly into that.  Unfortunately there’s not a lot of information on the events that go on, at least not while they are still out, so I decided to make my own blog to talk about them.
I’m a C2P (cheap to play) player.  Usually, I put about 15-30 a month into the game, depending on the circumstances.  And yeah, I’m trying to 100% this game too. >_<  That means all story quests at 3 mickeys and 100% album.  It’s going to be a very long process…
Anyway, if you like my guides, follow, like, reblog, talk me up!
If you have any questions about any KH material - story, fight mechanics, anything for any game - feel free to ask and I’ll get back to you with my best answer!  ^_^
I’ll follow this up with a reblog from my main account showing all of my PS3 save-screen screenshots.
THANK YOU!  I look forward to the future on this blog!
