i just recently started playing khux and i'm all the way to story quest 760 and then there isn't any more? this game updates with more sotry content right? it was getting so good lol

Yep!  The JP version is already up to mission 810.  But the story missions come out so rarely, it’s really a shame. >_< Just keep an eye out every few weeks for new content.  It’ll happen sooner or later. (Hopefully before KH3!)

KHUX ~ For Beginners

Kingdom Hearts Unchained x Union x is the smartphone adaptation of a browser game released only in Japan.  Though KHUX is a remake of that browser game, it contains more content and will continue beyond where the browser game ended.  This guide will focus on the Global version of KHUX, not the Japanese version which is remarkably different not that different anymore.

Welcome to KHUX!  Let’s get started.

Edit 4/26/17: Updated a lot of the guide for the new expansion: Union x[cross].
Edit 5/14/18: So much has changed… O_O
Edit 10/30/18: Updated again for PVP, x3, and Supernova.

Guide to Spirits!

image

(First and foremost, you access your Spirit card (shown above) by clicking the little icon in the upper left, beside your Player icon.)

Spirits are little pets that follow you around that you can name and dress up and stuff.  They have a lot of cool accessories and styles and outfits and stuff.  Mine is obviously a bunny, but there are cats, dogs, pigs, reindeer, foxes, etc, and more to come.  Be on the look out for new Spirit parts to dress up your pet (usually on Union Cross!).  You can always change their appearance and name and stuff with no repercussion, just like your avatar.  But there’s a lot more Spirits can do other than looking cute.

Gear

Spirits add a sixth slot to every single keyblade, which is absolutely crazy.  The new slot has its own multiplier based on the Rank of your Spirit and it is not restricted by power/speed/magic type or reverse/upright affiliation, or even cost!  Every time you rank up your Spirit, the multiplier of this slot increases.

So the question: how do you increase the rank?  As shown above, the Spirit has six medal slots on its card.  When you click Gear, you can put any medals in those slots.  Each medal has a point value, usually based on how rare it is, that adds “experience” to the pet.  When a medal has a trait, it gets a 20% point bonus (80 turns to 96, for example) and turns yellow.  When a medal is slotted in your Spirit those medals are still usable in keyblades, so you should always put your highest point values in those slots.  The Optimize button does this for you.  The higher the rank, the higher the multiplier.

(Right now, Rank 9 is the highest.  For that, you need 6 trained 80pt medals, which is a lot easier to get than it sounds.  I’m sure more Ranks will be added soon, or may have been already by the time you read this.)

Tricks

More importantly, as a Spirit levels up, it learns Tricks - helpful bonuses in combat.  Here’s a list of what they are and what they do.  Each one can only be used once per battle, unless specified.

Rank 2: Steal - when an item drops, you get two. 50% rate.
Rank 3: Blast - 10,000 damage hit (or half a health bar).  Triggers when it will kill an enemy. (A lifesaver, honestly!)
Rank 4: Esuna - cleanses poison, paralysis, or sleep.
Rank 5: HP Recovery - a 100% Second Chance proc that stacks with SC skills! The literal best thing about pets.
Rank 6: Steal II - three items.
Rank 7: Status Boosts - Poison does more damage, paralysis immobilizes, and sleep lasts three hits.  Triggers when you put a status ailment on an enemy. Sleep Boost can be used twice in one battle.
Rank 8: Blast II - 30,000 damage.
Rank 9: PSM Boost - If you get Power, Speed, or Magic Strength to 7, it bumps it up to 8.  Usable once per turn, lasts ones turn.

Anyway, the long story short: pets are awesome.  Literally no downside to using them.  They don’t “use up” any resource.  Just mess around with them.

Have fun!

how do i get a higher ap count

Most of the avatar boards (that unlock as you level up) have an AP node. Buy those with avatar coins from leveling up! There is a maximum of 198.

Also 0 AP is up this week!

What if there are seven guardians of light because that’s neutral on the pH scale and they try to keep balance between light and dark?? And there are thirteen darknesses because they’re all basic bitches.

sparkkeyper:

So after going through the entire Kingdom Hearts series, I’ve noticed something. King Mickey was not born royalty; he married into royalty by screwing around with the world order.

image

Mickey originally comes from Timeless River, the “Steamboat Willie”-themed world where he’s a deckhand with a reputation for being a lazy troublemaker. Nobody mentions any kind of existing royalty in that world, and certainly nobody treats Mickey like a prince, lazy or otherwise. We see early versions of Pete, Horace Horsecollar, Clara Cluck, etc. but do you notice someone missing?

Minnie. Minnie is not from Timeless River.

image

Minnie is princess of the Country of the Musketeers, the “Three Musketeers”-themed world from Dream Drop Distance. We see a younger Mickey here training to be a Musketeer on princess guard duty but we know he isn’t native because he tells Sora as much. He doesn’t understand when Sora calls him “Your Majesty”. If Mickey was a prince of any kind, that title wouldn’t be weird. It’s also clear that this world is not a version of Timeless River. (Though it does have a version of Pete, which may or may not be the same Pete from the rest of the series considering he has a peg leg in Country of the Musketeers. It’s kinda hard to grow back a leg. Then again, this is a series that runs on bloodless carnage and where people regularly come back from the dead, so who knows?)

Sometime later, in Yen Sid’s tower, we see an inexperienced Mickey as the sorcerer’s apprentice. Again, Sora instinctively starts with “Your Majesty” and Mickey is confused.

image

By the time Birth By Sleep rolls around, Mickey is still an apprentice to Yen Sid but he’s a king now. He and Minnie rule over Disney Town during the Million Dreams Festival, which is the newer incarnation of Timeless River. And is not at all a shameless plug for Disneyland or reference to the Disney parks’ Year of a Million Dreams, up to and including Ven being given actual goddamn park tickets.

(No I will not get over the blatant self-advertising.)

Disney Town goes on to become Disney Castle from KH1 on.

So basically, Mickey pulled Minnie out of her own world and back to his, where she reigned as queen and he married her and became king. So that means that all these regal-looking pictures of mice on the walls…

image

…are MINNIE’S ancestors, not Mickey’s. And also, since Disney Castle was not inherited but was built during their lifetime, those little 3-circle mouse heads everywhere?

image

Either it’s Mickey being phenomenally narcissistic, or more likely, they’re the royal seal of MINNIE’S family.

So the worlds have to stay separated and their existences have to stay secret, right, Mick?

Unless you find a hot girl. Then you can totally bring her back to yours.

This is a theory I’ve believed in for a long time. Also, it makes sense that Minnie’s home world is the home world of Donald and Goofy too, and that’s where Mickey first meets them! :D

Though I always thought the pictures throughout the castle were Mickey’s ancestors, but just like… normal people. Not royalty or anything. Just a map-maker or a notary or something. But I like the Minnie’s ancestors idea too!

i wanted to let you know that your khux posts have helped me understand the game better, i'm very grateful for that✨ i've been playing kh since i was 6 years old and i'm almost 20, but i only downloaded khux 2 days ago!! i'm upset that i wasn't able to do it sooner, i'm lvl 103 but i missed so many good exclusive medals, i'm dissapointed about not being able to get the illustrated versions of my faves and all that :( i hope good banners come out soon!! i'll save my +5000 jewels✨ have a nice day!

Now is a great time to join! :D the anniversary has a lot to offer. And thank you so much for the kind words!

You shouldn’t worry about missing medals. Event medals have come back tons of times, even useless ones that nobody really wants. And they are always releasing new Illustrated versions!

I hope that when this game is finally “over” all the medals become available again. That way I can gradually work on filling out my album.

Hey! So I just started playing KHUX a week ago and I'm only level 95 at quest 335. I want to get into guilting and making my medals stronger, but I'm honestly confused as to how it works. Like which medals should I guilt and how do I go about acquiring excess amounts of them for that to be possible. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advanced

Unfortunately, luck is 90% of it. You need seven of the same medal to guilt it. Some events give seven of the same medal (like VIP deals or the old Organization missions). Always be on the look out for Union Cross medal releases too, because they are farmable - just play Union Cross a lot and you’ll get tons of them. But a majority have to be pulled from banners. That can get expensive.

Alternatively, we have a medal called Fantasia Mickey B (Mickey & Brooms) that counts as basically any ONE medal. So six of those and one medal will guilt it. These can also be evolved from 5 Brooms and a Fantasia Mickey A. So ALWAYS be on the lookout for free Brooms and Fantasia Mickey B medals. Coliseum. Union Cross. Events. They start to add up. Also VIP has a lot of you are willing to drop some cash.

As for what to guilt, that’s always changing. Right now, I would say any Tier 8 and a handful of Tier 7 are worth guilting. Never bother guilting a buff medal - only ones with high damage.

Hope this helped! Good luck!

What does discord lux mean in Kingdom Hearts Union Cross?

Hm. Well “lux” is a material collected through the game that determines players rankings and stuff. It basically refers to collecting light for your union. It’s also how you level up.

“Discord” is probably referring to the chat client rather than an in-game function. Discord is sometimes required or encouraged for strong parties because it helps coordinate events and Lux times. (These are times where people hit a button to add lux boosts to all the party members.)

I hope that helped!
